As a photographer, capturing Tania & Umair's nikkah in the fall was a dream come true - autumn weddings are a rarity, and the chance to frame Tania and Umair’s love story against the backdrop of the fall palette was a moment we had eagerly anticipated.
Their nikkah was held at a beautiful AirBNB property with a gorgeous backyard that led to a fall-esque trail! So, while their nikkah venue was bustling with pre-wedding celebrations, we found our escape, slipping away to the nearby forest that seemed to await their presence. Tania and Umair, hand in hand, ventured into the woods, where the light filtered through the canopy in ethereal streams, casting a celestial glow upon them.
Clad in their exquisite ivory nikkah outfits (designed by the infamous @faizasaqlain), they were a vision of elegance and grace. The ivory fabric glowed against the lush backdrop - gently falling around the couple and framing their portraits with the autumnal beauty of the changing foliage. The forest truly was a hidden gem, providing a magical setting for our beautiful couple's shots against the timeless backdrop of colourful woods. Despite our worries about rain, the weather held up perfectly, allowing us to capture the most stunning portraits.
As the autumn leaves began to turn, Tania and Umair’s intimate nikkah ceremony at a charming Caledon Airbnb promised a day of warmth and love. The floral decor by @decorventure set a unique and inviting scene, blending modern flair with classic elegance (not to mention - perfectly complimenting the colours of our couple's outfits). We personally loved the nikkah pardah placed in between the couple, as the ceremony took place. The Airbnb, transformed into a cozy haven, creating the perfect backdrop for Tania & Umair's cherished moments.
On a blessed Friday, the nikkah ceremony began with all the guests coming together to pray Jumman. They then gathered to celebrate and listen to Imam Hossam Helal’s light-hearted and gracious sermon, where he officiated the marriage. Following the sermon, the couple shared their first look and veil lifting, marking a beautiful start to their journey together.
From the first click of my camera, the air was filled with emotion and affection. Tania and Umair’s families exuded a welcoming spirit, their mutual respect and adoration for one another evident in every smile and embrace. While Tania’s dad’s presence was dearly missed, we were able to enjoy the day. The nikkah ceremony was a heartfelt affair, and I found myself moved by the genuine emotions on display as Umair and Tania were married.
The day was filled with countless special moments, from the warm embraces of family members to the couple sharing a cup of chai (thanks to @chaishaicart)! Each minute was a testament to the joy and love surrounding Tania and Umair. As they made their graceful exit amidst a shower of blessings and good wishes, I felt honored to witness the beginning of their journey together.
